Ribbon Bows, Twilight and the Flower Girl

Ok... so I'm a week late for this but... TWILIGHT CAME OUT ON VIDEO LAST SATURDAY! Finally! The day that I have been waiting for came! YAY!

Also... I've found a new hobby. My aunt Deborah used to make these bows made out of ribbon for my cousin Lindsey when she was little. Well, my cousin Kristy from Illinois wanted to make some for her daughter, Shayna, so she asked Deborah how to make them. I was there when this conversation took place and so I decided that I wanted to try to make some because the ones that Kristy made were so darn cute! So... I went out and bought the materials and I love this new hobby! They are so much fun!

I've also made a red one and a light purple one... If any of you are interested in some or want to give some away as gifts.. let me know. I'm thinking about selling some for some side money for really cheap.

I have a funny story from work today. This four year old girl came through my line with her mom and I was talking to this girl and she was asking me some questions. She first asked me if I was married. I told her I wasn't. She then asked, "Well don't you have any kids at least?" And I told her I didn't because I wasn't married. And then she says, "Well... when you do get married I will be your flower girl!" I laughed my butt off! It was soooo funny! Her mom was laughing pretty hard too. She kinda gave us both funny looks and then she said, "Well when you find out your getting married, call me." HA HA! How freaking cute is that?! I thought it was pretty good.

The Dancing Guru and The Late-Night Cousin's

Parker had the BYU Nationals Ballroom Competition this past Thursday, Friday and Saturday. He did really really good! I didn't work on Thursday so I went and watched him. Him and his partner, Chelsey, placed 5th in the pre-champ Latin comp. Pre-champ is above the youth category, and is a bigger deal then youth as well. Its what the college students usually compete in and post college competitors as well. So the fact they made finals and placed fifth is amazing! They also placed 2nd in their Smooth category! Chelsey was crying she was so happy! And their coach was so proud that someone finally noticed their hard work. The high school comps they didn't hardly get called to finals so if they place in nationals, which is a bigger deal then the high school, then they are really really good!
Chelsey, Angela (their coach) and Parker.
I love my brother and I am so proud of him and all of his hard work!

Yesterday when I got off work, I went over to my grandparents house to visit with Grandma, Grandpa, Diana, Kristy, Shayna, Deborah, and Lindsey. It was so much fun! Grandpa played with Rett, and he was having a ball. It was so cute! Rett was talking to him and trying to grab his glasses. I had to get a picture. So I did...

This is my favorite one that I got out of like four pictures. Grandpa is so proud! Deborah and Lindsey stayed until 3:45 this morning just sitting and talking with Diana and Kristy. I would have stayed that long but I had been up since 7:00 am and I was getting tired. I didn't get home until 1:00 am. That's how much fun Linds and I had with everyone! We went to Wal-Mart and we both got the game Apples to Apples. Kristy wanted to play it after we went and got Wendy's. Deborah and Diana played it with us too! It was so much fun! I love spending time with my family... especially Lindsey since we don't get to see each other a lot. I know I've said that before, but it's the truth.

Don't ask. Ha ha remember, we are psycho! But we love each other and I love that we can be that way around each other and that neither one of us cares! Our family doesn't either... which is a plus! Love ya Linds!

Feeling Invisible while visiting visitors from ILLINOIS!

Hanging out with Erika last night didn't turn out like I wanted it to. We eventually planned that we were going to go to this place called Power Tumbling, which is kind of like the Jump On It place, with some of her friends. We got there and started to jump and play around. There are friends of hers that are both returned missionaries (she' not LDS but she loves RM's) and she wants to hook up with them. She kept telling me, "Oh! Shelby you will love them! They are so nice and so cute!" They were so rude. I was trying to be nice and talk to them and they kept ignoring me. One of them was rude and kicked a pad I was sitting on and told me to move. Erika kept defending them... saying they are sarcastic and that I needed to understand that. If they are really sarcastic, that's totally cool. But you don't do it around someone you don't know because they think you are being rude. Well that's what I think anyways.
The whole night I kinda felt invisible. I kept thinking to myself, "If I walked away right now and walked home, no one would probably not even notice. Not even Erika." And I'm not gonna lie, I was so close to doing it too. I love Erika! I really do! But... last night just wasnt' a normal hang out night. And that was because boys were there that she wanted to impress.

My aunt, Diana, cousin, Kristy, and her daughter, Shayna, are here from Illinois to visit. After I got off work today I went over to my Grandma and Grandpa Kendall's to visit with them. Shayna was in love with Rett! She kept making sure he was ok and checking on him when he was getting his diaper changed. She was playing with him and she wanted him to play with her. Whitney layed Rett on the floor and Shayna got down there with him and was talking to him.

Here is a picture of Grandma and Diana. Diana looks just like my mom! People think they are twins whenever they see them. And the funny thing is... is that they have the same personalities! HA HA!
Grandma and Grandpa have both been doing their exercising since Grandpa had his heart surgery. Grandma's been visiting places on her stationary bike and Grandpa takes walks through the woods on his treadmill. I sneaked a picture of my Grandma on her bike while I was holding my sleeping nephew...
I love my family! They give me the greatest laughs and motivation... I don't know where I would be without them!

Much Better

This is much better then yesterday. Except I would love for the mountains to have NO snow on them.. I'd rather have this then snowing and grey anyday. And look! The snow is almost completely melted off the grass! HALLELUJAH! (I don't know if that's how you spell it... ha ha oh well!)

Now I am in a happier mood today... See...

This is my mustache! HA HA HA! It looks like I just have hair growing off my cheeks and it looks like I'm puckering up to give you a big wet one! I was playing around and my mom started laughing at me... I had to take a picture to see what I looked like. Wow! But this is normal for me... my normal crazy personality!

Erika and I are going to hang out tonight. We don't know what we are gonna do. My mom is making homemade pizza for everyone though and we are gonna havjunk food galore while we figure out what to do! It's gonna be crazy fun... it always is when we get together. Pictures and details to come tomorrow when I get off of work.

Winter Wonderland

I think the snow will be non-stop this year. It was nice and sunny and warm a few days ago... hope that Spring was finally here. But today that wasn't the case.
It started snowing... around 4:00 pm. And it hasn't stopped snowing since then. I'd say we have a good 5 or 6 inches on the ground. I mean c'mon! Can't we have a break!? I want to be able to see the mountains, go 4-wheeling, wear shorts, flip-flops, have pool days... go outside and take a walk for a while. Not sit inside and be gloomy, and sad because its dark and snowy outside.
Hopefully this is the last week that it snows. I am so done with the snow.

My Favorite Nephew

Need I say anymore? This is me and my nephew, Everett. He came over to our house last night because Chris took Whitney out for her birthday since they couldn't do it on her actual birthday.

He was sitting on mom's lap for a few minutes and then he started to get fussy because he was getting bored. So... I took him for a walk, ha ha! We ended up in our entry way where we have a huge mirror that my Grandma Stringfellow gave us up on the wall. I stopped in front of it and was playing with Rett and he was just grinning up a storm at himself. I pulled out my phone, which he loves to look at, and took this picture of us.

I LOVE MY NEPHEW! He's the best thing that has happened to me in a long time, besides my mom, dad, brother, sister and brother-in-law.

Today was piano day, which means Whitney comes on Wednesday afternoons to teach Nash piano. While she was giving her lessons, Rett was sitting on my lap and was just singing and cooing and talking. I pulled out my phone and started to video him, he just kept talking and was as happy as could be. This is the video that I took...

All I have to say is that I love this little boy!

Lazy Eyed Birthday Girl

Today is Whitney's birthday! She is 22 years old! Last night, her, Chris and Rett came over to our house for her birthday dinner. It was so much fun! Mom made cheesecake and homemade snickers and taco soup! It was so yummy! After cheesecake, Chris and I got somehow on going cross-eyed... I think he was teasing me ha ha ha! Anyways he started trying to get Whitney to go cross-eyed and we discovered that she has a lazy eye! HA HA HA! Oh my goodness... I got a picture of it on my phone... this is what she looked like...

Her right eye is crossed and her left eye is straight... how does that happen!? It was so cute though, she was trying so hard to get it to stay crossed but she just couldn't do it. Oh, birthday fun! Happy Birthday Whit! I hope it was a memorable one!
