Black Cherry

You're probably wondering why this post is called "Black Cherry." Well, here's the story.
So I decided that I wanted to do something different with my hair. I wasn't sure if I wanted to cut it or if I wanted to color it or do both. I finally decided, since I can't decide if I want short hair again or long hair, to leave it the way it is and just color it.

I used a Dark Brown Gold and a color called Black Cherry, it's a dark brown that has a hint of purple-ish in it.
My Mom has been calling me Black Cherry all night :D So... that's what my new nickname is for a while at my house since my hair is dark. I like it though. I love the new color! I'm always looking for something different to do. Maybe in a few months I'll decide to cut it short again. Who knows.

I went and saw The Lion King on broadway at Capitol Theater with my family, Deb, Linds, Claude, Nash and Dalene on Sunday. It was ssssooooo amazing! Oh my gosh! I loved it! Here are some stills from the internet since I couldn't take pictures there...

So much fun! And on Saturday, Parker and Lindsey and I went to Lagoon with Nick! It was such a blast! I had such a great weekend!

State Fair Pics - All 2 of them

Ok so here are the 2 most random... well the pig one at least... Utah State Fair pics I think anyone will ever see...maybe. :P I took the pig one because it was so funny that the one pig's butt was in the food tray and that his hooves or whatever they are are pretty much going up the other pig's butt. HAHA! And they were sound asleep! Mom couldn't stop laughing... hilarious!


You're probably thinking, "Wait! This isn't a state fair picture!? It's a Lagoon picture!" Yes... the chainsaw guy is from Lagoon, but they were advertising Frightmares at the state fair and so they had two chainsaw guys. This one is sitting where Dad was sitting. He wanted Dad to stand up, and so we all thought that he was gonna do something to Dad, but then he nudges his way inbetween Mom and I and started hitting on Mom! SOO funny! It made me think of the time we went to Universal Studios a few years ago and Beetlejuice was hitting on Mom, but Mom was grossed out then and she wasn't this time, just because she hates Beetlejuice and thought that these guys were hilarious! Anyways, I wanted a picture and so Dad took the pic for us. Look at the random kid in the background BAHAHAHAHA! FUNNY!

P.S. Don't mind the flubbery stomach of mine :P I lost 5 pounds this last month and this month I'm gonna lose 5 more!

State Fair and Cody

My family went to the state fair on Saturday! It was fun! But I haven't uploaded photos yet so I will do that tomorrow for sure! We walked around and looked at all the booths and we walked through all the animal barns (made me wish I lived on a ranch) and then we went to the rodeo. That reminded me what a sucker I am for cowboys! Love cowboys! :D MMMM but I also love rappers too... hm.... that'd be why I'm a cowgirl-gangster. Anyways...

I got some pictures of Cody and one of his baptism's. I believe it's the baptism of the Mom of the lady who sent them to me from his area.

Awww I love my missionary! Anyways, watch for the 2 state fair pics I got tomorrow! ;P

Cody Update and Swimming with Nash

Today, Nash and I went swimming because I had the day off! It was such a blast! I felt so bad because I have been promising her all summer that we were gonna go swimming A LOT since I quit Sam's Club and actually had the time. That was back when I only worked Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the clinic. Now that I work Mondays and then every other Friday as well, it's been harder to find the time. But, when she found out that I didn't have to work so asked if I could take her, and of course my answer was YES!

It was such a blast! I love Nash! I consider her my little sister and I love her to bits and pieces. We always have so much fun when we hang out. Here are a few pictures... haha the only 2 I took while we were out.

Well I got a short but very sweet email from Cody today :D He's kinda in the dumps because him and Elder Gormus got split up. Elder Gormus is spending his last transfer before he goes home in Florida, Uruguay. Cody is still in Canelones and has a new companion by the name of Elder Hutchinson, who is from Canada. Cody was having a hard time today, he really misses Elder Gormus. But I know that he will be just fine with this new companion and that he will be able to continue the great work that they started together. I'm really glad he's still in Canelones. He's worked too hard to get the members to start going back to church and to continue working with the non-members to have to leave it right now. And the Lord knows that. He says that more about this companion and this transfer will be coming in the letter he's sending.

Aw, I love Cody. He is doing such a great and marvelous work and he will be blessed and so will his parents and sister as well as his future family for this self-less choice he has made to serve the Lord.

Anyways, back to work tomorrow so it's off to bed for me! Talk to ya'll later!

Girls Night Out

So, as some of you may know, I haven't really been having the greatest time of my life in my singles ward Relief Society. None of the girls are really nice to me and talk to me, except for two, Michele and Autumn. They invited me to go see a movie with them tonight. And I did! And I had a blast! Both are so sweet and such jabber boxes and I loved hanging out with them!

We went to Zupas for dinner and then we went and saw a movie called "Just Wright" with Queen Latifah and Common. (I love Queen Latifah movies... they're always good!) Here are some movie stills... such a good movie! I would recommend it to anyone!

Sorry this is kind of a lame post... but I will get a more exciting one tomorrow hopefully!

Cody had transfers today, and I think that him and Elder Gormus got split up because he didn't email me today and if they were still together then he would've emailed me today. Hopefully I get one tomorrow and so then I can update you on him!

Lindsey and Curses

Lindsey, Parker, Holly and I went to Fox Field to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks, and Holly brought the game Curses! It is my all time favorite game... if you haven't played it you really need to because it is hilarious! Anyways, Lindsey's curses this particular round were to start every word with the letter R like Scooby Doo, sneeze everytime she talked and whenever someone tried to touch her she had to cover her curse cards and say, "You're trying to steal my lucky charms!" Oh my gooness. Anyways this is the video of her with all of her curses and doing her challenge, which was to explain how to make a peanut butter samwich. Enjoy!

Holly's Professional Skills

So one day last week, Holly and her friend Erin and I went and took pictures just for fun. Holly is like this amazing photographer! haha! And she does it just for fun. These are just a FEW of the pictures she took of me.

This is my absolute favorite one that she took! And she says it's her favorite that she's ever taken. It was one of those pictures where I was trying not to smile because she told me to be serious, and right when I turned and laughed she snapped the picture. haha! Cute huh?
